Fire / EMO

The Municipality of the District of Guysborough continues to maintain, improve, and build relationships with all Emergency Service providers in order to optimize the safety and health of residents of the District.

Maintenance of civic addresses, and the municipal civic address database are vital to the delivery of effective Emergency Services. The Municipality provides 911 markers (civic address) for businesses and residents of the District. These signs, made specifically for each owner, can be purchased from the Municipal Office, complete with a 2-metre angle iron post to be secured in the ground, at a cost of $25.

A Municipal Civic Addressing By-law deals with civic numbering issues as well as the naming of private roads.
